there will be 0 sleep.... its been pretty bad sleeping all week since seeing the property on sunday and getting pictures!!! looks like it will just be a morning hunt tomorrow, calling for thunderstorms in the evening.

hoping they will be on their feet in the morning before the storms, stupid PA doesnt allow me to hunt on sunday which is gonna be the best day. Monday should be good after the front moves through
Same here in CT, no Sunday hunting unless it is on private land. Sunday would be the day here too. Monday is not the day we asked for, but the day we need, LOL
I did that in Illinois one year on a lease we had. I was up in a big white in the corner of the field. I rode thru two thunderstorms. When I looked up and seen the third one I headed to the truck. I was setting in the truck listening to the radio after the rain stopped and a big 8 point came walking out 10 yards in front of the truck. My bow was in it's case on the back seat. I unzipped it pulled it out and looked for the buck. He was standing out at the edge of a field at about 40 yards. I knocked an arrow and put my 45 yard pin on it and I spined it. I hadad to run out and put another arrow in it. My dad was down in the bottom of that property and seen the buck walk directly towards him under his tree and walk directly away from him. He couldn't get a shot at it. Needless to say, he rode out all 3 storms.
My taxidermist called wanting to know if I had picked a form. I told him just to do whatever he did to this one...
I'm definitely going out tomorrow. Thinking about not doing an early morning sit though. I realized I've gotten lazy over the last week or so by going out in the morning and not scouting like I should be. I could do a morning sit, go back to the jeep for a bit, eat and relax. Then early afternoon, scout my way in for the afternoon/evening....actually that sounds like a good plan!
Bigger bucks were on their feet in WI last night with the front coming through. Of course I was carting kids to multiple places and couldn’t hunt. Looks great tonight as well but now I have to work tonight and tomorrow night. Might have to ditch my dad’s 77th birthday party early on Sunday to sit. Otherwise, I’ll be out Monday night for sure.
been trying to get everything taken out of my truck. and just officially finished. drying hunting camo and my safety harness. Good luck everyone when you get out this weekend! I'm heading out in the morning!
My daughter and I are headed out in the morning for the first time this year. Sitting a new spot next to a big white oak. Should be promising.
I'm getting ready to head out with the 6 year old. We'll be at the millionaire property waiting for that 3 year old 8 point. I wouldn't normally shoot him, but my daughter might convince me. There is still a mature 8 that shows up out there occasionally too. Fingers crossed...
Didn't make it out this morning, hard to wake up a 13 year old girl at 5am lol. We are headed out shortly.
