Thanks! Love it when I see I made a good shot. Makes me feel better that the deer expired quickly. Based on this photo, I think I actually went through the thin part of the scapula on the near side before sticking in the opposite shoulder. I’ll have to get a closer look.
I’m up but I’m not going out this morning. I hate it when I wake up at 2:30 for no reason and can’t get back to sleep. I’ll be going out again this afternoon.
Should be some good movement today between 9 and 11 am for those hitting it today.. Good luck! Stay safe out there friends!
Not me, I'll be saving lives and stamping out disease today. It's supposed to rain here all day anyway. Tomorrow morning is in the 40s so I'm looking forward to that. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I am out for a quick hunt this morning. A cold front blew in yesterday and we are in mid 40’s this morning compared to mid u0’s yesterday. A little breezier than ideal with 15-18mph wind, but I learned a long time ago if you only hunt when there is perfect weather, you don’t hunt much, Anout 30 minutes before shooting light, just enjoying looking at the same stars and constellations that all of mankind has had the pleasure of seeing as well over the history of Modern Man. That always amazes me when I reflect on that.
Set up for a half day at work today to get out this evening. First little cold front is here and I am excited. Hoping to see some deer and hopefully catch one of the big guys on their feet. It'll be buck or nothing again this weekend, I will get back up to the farm next week to hunt Wed-Sun and will be looking to stick a doe for the freezer one morning.
Congrats!! This will be a near daily thing the next few weeks. Bucks should start hitting the ground!
