Bears are thick in my neck of the woods especially when you get to the county forest. The guy that used to own my house used to run the walk in cooler starting the first day of bear season for all the locals.

I know I'll be out this weekend as we are finally getting a little cooler weather. A frost wouldn't hurt my feelings but doesn't look like it's going to happen yet.

That's a decent bear in the pic.
I sat this morning for bear. Clear skies and 28* beautiful morning.
    No bear showed up.

F*** squirrels and f *** Briggs and Stratton. Decided to use up my last bit of food plot seed and make me a backwoods little spot. Hauled my tiller, the seed, and 100lbs of fart layers / lime over a 1/4 mile into the woods on my back (3 trips). Once I got everything out there I went to start the tiller and nothing. It was working fine a week ago. Not sure if I should be more pissed at the squirrels for eating half my carburetor or if I should be more pissed at Briggs and stratton for deciding to save 15¢ By using a carburetor made of plastic.

Trust me, they’re going to get eaten very soon. Season opens in five days and I got 1975 Marlin 39a over the summer that I can’t wait to try out on some tree chicken.

I set up several cameras on a farm today that I've been hunting for almost 40yrs. The landowner is a friend, and I'm the only one he lets hunt. I killed my biggest buck there, and many years ago I saw the biggest buck I have ever seen from a tree stand (he was following a hot doe). It's the ones that get away that you remember best...

Who's all going to be hunting this weekend. Looks like some cooler temps are finally coming. Those pre rut activities may start heating things up a bit. Good luck to all!!!!!

I’ve can absolutely drop a 6 pointer this evening. I’ve been holding out for something bigger but if we need a quick 75ish points I’ll put him down tonight. It would be this guy or his slightly larger buddy.

I get two buck tags so I would still have another tag to shoot a bigger one for myself, but the second one wouldn’t count for points.
