Your Rutcation will be here before you know it. Trust me the weather will cooperate at some point during it some you can bring home the Booner.
Thanks Bill! It has been a rough month, FIL was a believer. Wife has a lingering cough, otherwise we are over COVID.
Holy hell those are some nasty woods.. Sure as hell aint easy getting to that spot. At least I'm getting my sea legs underneath me so when it comes to some better hunting I'll be ready. I've seen 2 deer and 5 sits. I'm on fire
Sorry to hear that sad news. Not hunting much will have its upside. Being there for your wife will only reaffirm the love you have for each other. And your kids will have a role model worthy of that title!
Part I'm worried about is it is over before I know it I think I've only laid eyes on one booner since I have been hunting, and it wasn't while on stand. Was in a neighboring properties cut bean/corn field as I was leaving the property. Watched him through bino's keeping eyes on 4 or 5 does. Tried my hardest to get a phone pic through the lenses but just couldn't get everything aligned. Swear to this day woupd have pushed 190's, wide and long tines. Would have been 8 or 9 years ago I'd guess. I'll likely never see a true Booner from stand, let alone get a shot at one, but I'll take a P&Y every season without complaint
3 does … climbed down 10 early to make my time hack. Soon as my bow hit the ground here comes a doe. She watched make it to my bottom stick stood at 20, The controlled access areas are tough this time of year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Your going to get one sooner or later. One year in Ohio I shot a 147" 10 point in the morning. I went back out in the afternoon to shoot a doe and seen a 170" 10 point that we didn't have any pictures of chasing a doe. That was one of the best days of my life in the woods.
I’m down and back at the house. I didn’t see a thing. Tomorrow morning should be better. I think the strong wind made them move later than normal. It’s just as well. I wasn’t going to shoot a doe anyway.
Prayers to you and your family, you have had a real tough month, keep your head up, they are at peace and no longer suffering.
