Moon guide is showing morning movement to be before daylight. No wonder I’m not seeing any. There already back to there beds. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Woke up to lightning. No thanks! Watching grand son this afternoon cause grandma is working and cant.
Saw 2 squirrels, hearing hawks that keep them in check. Quiet, cept for an occasional breeze that seems to rid trees of overnight rain. Heavy overcast, like it's dusk... Man, sure feels like something should be moving. One of those T-Rex ducks, a blue heron, just started squawking behind me, toward the lake...
A spike, a 3 point and a boarderline 8 just ran through. No good look at the 8 but I think he was a little smaller than some of our targets.
Breeze went to 15 mph winds that are swirling...back at house. Short but great morning ,that said just wait, turkey season will start in a week and I won't see a single turkey....Lol Older buck here tend not to move hard in day light until mid Oct. So I'm not really expecting too much action there. I am keying in on doe movement and that will let me know where the buck will be traveling. I do need to hit the swamp stand. But can't until winds change to w/s or , n/ w depending on morning or evening sits. I have just one stand there..
So as I'm sitting here watching the doe feed in front of me, this doe is behind me looking at my blind but I didn't see her because I was concentrating in the other direction. As I'm sitting here I see my phone with a camera notification. The camera is about 30yds from me and she was standing right in my shooting lane Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Well came home and checked the camera seems like all the movement is in the pm. When I say all I had like 14 pics in the past 2 or 3 weeks so if you call that movement. All doe.
Pretty sure the wind had now blown every direction other than the forecasted direction. I'm torn. Give it more time or bail...
Back in for the mean time. not sure if I'll head back out for the evening. If I do I'll be toting a ground blind out. Got torrentially poured on for about an hour.
Does this kind somewhat correlate to the minor and major hunt times for each day? I look at the times on huntstand.
