She's all skinned, cut up and in the fridge. I'm not surprised that I got a shot this evening since I've been blown at from that direction three times when I walk out the front door. What surprised me is where they were coming from. I figured they were coming from the neighbors property to the north, but they came from the south and crossed my property. If I'd hunted my primary trees I'd have shot her 15 minutes earlier.

I'm surprised that I have deer traffic crossing my property on the house side like that. Usually the dogs barking at them makes them keep their distance from the house, but they crossed within 60 yards of the house even with the dogs barking a bit.

It's really kind of funny, but the dogs had shut up as the does were closing. I had the Tactacam on, like I said, and when I shot the dogs went nuts and the Tactacam got the sound really well. I just watched the Tactacam footage. It's not great. You can't see the lead doe until just before I draw, and with the camera being mounted below the arrow, the deer looks like it's behind leaves when I shot. I tried to point the Tactacam at her when she was running down hill but I didn't get her in the frame.

I played it a few times on the laptop and every time I get to where I shoot the sound of the dogs barking on the video makes the dogs go nuts again. I finally stopped looking at it.

I don't know if I'm going to hunt tomorrow or not. I won't process this one for a couple of days and the wife is gone on her bicycling trip. I really want to be in a tree on my birthday, so I may go out tomorrow afternoon. I can always put a second doe in a cooler on ice. The wife gets home tomorrow night.
