I couldn't agree more. It is amazing listening to God's creation coming to life as the daylight starts appearing. Good Luck this morning.
Well, it was peaceful until every dog at every house within a mile decided to have a sing along a few minutes ago, including my own. Jeez what a racket.
Man this temp just dropped off, I’m stuck at home today. I’ll be out Friday for a doe and in Ohio sat for the opener. Good luck fellas, stack em up!
We have that here., but one guy 3/4 of a mile away does not put his dog out on a line until hunting season begins. You never hear a peep out of him until bow season. Then it is non stop barking every single morning. Gun season arrives...No barking. The neighbor on the other side of the hunting camp next to us, puts his dog on a line only when the Hunter shows up to hunt or even check his camp. It lets me know when he leaves his trailer...
If they were going to move through here this morning they most likely would have by now. I’m still going to sit until at least 9:30. It’s awesome out here this morning. It was 47 degrees at first light, almost 10 degrees cooler than yesterday and the moon sets an hour later. It’s possible a doe could still walk through. Bucks will be bedded by now.
I've got to hand it to the does here. They seem to know when I'm planning to shoot one of them and they steer clear. My wife is heading out today for a 2 1/2 day bicycle trip with her group of "girls" so I'll be on my own if I shoot one. When I got down I carried the climber I was in this morning out and if I go out this afternoon I'll hunt on this side of the road. The terrain on this side funnels down to a gully and every wounded deer runs toward that gully. It makes them easy to find with a thermal imager. The bottom on the other side is a grown up rat's nest of a cut over and I'd be in real trouble alone.
Wild how out of a group of six arrows I had one shooting like 3 inches high. Simple nock tune about 75% around and its hitting dead on with the broadheads.
N wind next 2.5 days. Hoping to sneak out tomorrow pm and Sat morning.... Good luck, if any are out for the pm shift tonight.
