Saturday Season Open is fast approaching for Ohio. These temperatures are going to be great. I shouldn't have to worry about sweating.
Not sure if I'll be heading out this weekend. I took a side job and asked about doing it on Sunday, got the ok for Sunday. Screwed up and told them I'd be there at 11 am on Saturday.... still have to confirm but hopefully they'll say Sunday is good!
Apparently should’ve been out tonight, but have to work tonight and tomorrow yet. Sitting Friday afternoon for sure. Hopefully these guys show back up with this nice cool front!
That's a good buck. It's hard to look at those pictures when you can't be in a stand. Hopefully they keep coming in so you can get a crack at it on Friday.
Hoping so. Definitely one I'd let an arrow fly at. At least 4.5 years old and probably in upper 130s (maybe low 140s) I'm thinking. Hard to say for sure as the mass is difficult to determine from the pics, but he's definitely tall. G2s and G3s have to be pushing 10".
I checked my camera at the "millionaire property" and was pretty disheartened. I got more pics of neighborhood kids than deer over the last month. I like that they are enjoying nature, but they need to stay on their side of the line. Oh well! On to plan B for opening weekend...
Last sit was 09/19 wont be hunting again until 10/2... killing me lol had to make some adjustments with my bow anyway, the cam was rubbing my cable and caused some fraying, got that all situated now and reserved. Perfect bullet hole again, were ready!
I think I would be talking to their father. It sure looks like the kid in the back with a piston has his finger on the trigger. That's an accident waiting to happen to kid in front of him.
He also machetes in sandals. Bright kid! I will be leaving them a note about messing with my blind and camera...I'll add trigger discipline to the list.
Looks like I'm going to be able to get out for Saturday afternoon. I need to scout a few areas out for my dad on the way in, and then scout my way to a spot in a white oak grove.
I have everything loaded up and will be headed out to Ohio this afternoon. Can't wait to get into the stand tomorrow morning.
Thanks Adam, I'm going to need it. Cell Cams aren't showing shooters right now but my 3rd cam is not a cell cam. I'm hoping maybe something is showing on it. My Dad left early this morning and will be pulling cards around lunch time. I'll find out tonight when I get there.
Ya never know! Mature bucks have been known to skirt around trail cameras. Also, trail cams only show a small portion of what is going on!!
