The trees look exhausted here. We had massive storms today and it rained pretty much all day. It wont be long. Lows in the 40’s coming up this week!
Did the same here yesterday, and today, my cell cam was going off ahh day while I sat twiddling my thumbs in my office. A shooter 8ptr walked right under my stand this morning at 7:11. I'd recommend getting into a travel corridor tomorrow morning if you can. Just my advice based on remote observations today... if you can. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
about mid-day, after most of the rain cleared out the temps dropped down to about 60 and the winds switched out of the East...and I was really POd I wasn't in a stand in WI.
I'm up, dressed and will be heading out soon. It's 55 degrees out with a 7 mph north wind that is going to pick up to about a 15 mph wind. After what I've been sitting through this is going to feel like winter. I can't believe I have my wool layers on. I'd have higher hopes if the wind weren't going to be so strong.
I’ve seen eight does/fawns and a spike. The does were in range but I decided to let them walk since it was so early. It’s a beautiful morning.
it's still early. That wind kicks up you may be able to do a little still hunting. Those THP guys are studs at it.
Thx TC for the compliment , I love this sport. Your son shot extremely well. A big congrats to him again
I know. I may need to get myself checked out. I only own 10 acres with a gravel road going through it. This side of the road (East 5 acres) is where my buck traffic is. I won’t shoot a doe here in the evening and I don’t really want to shoot them here at all since I have to bring in an ATV to get them up the hill. I made an exception last year for Monica and then another exception for one late season doe.
There's always a Monica. Seems kinda early season for bucks though. 6 does (on a small parcel, granted, they're roaming onto other land also) would seem to be a ripe number to justify management... I'm hoping to get out to my land this week. Good luck!
