Archery season is wide open in Minnesota, opens today through December 31, no restrictions public or private. T-minus 18 minutes until I leave work for the day and gather my gear, eat a quick lunch and head to the field! Let the season begin! Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
The public land dates end right at the peak of the rut which blows. I wish it was one week longer. I'm not one to knock on doors, so public land is where I call home.
Gonna be hitting the road in a few. Gonna scout my way in, checking out some patches of white oaks that I know about and/or fresh sign.
I'm heading in now. Heading towards the place I missed that doe the other night. I may lose my signal, if not I will try and keep you guys posted. Good luck Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Back on stand. Just waiting on the deer to cooperate. Good luck all Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
All setup. I walked 300 yards into the woods to a white oak grove and there were hoof prints everywhere. Acorns dropping all around. Not sure if these white oaks are dropping or have any on them, but they are certainly being checked. Good enough sign for me. Why go further? Good luck pm shift!
Happy for you TC, and I miss it also now. Mud Jr is in college / flying and we don't get to do that as much as I would like
I've decide today is a no go. I picked 1/2 bushel of tomato, 1/2bushel of sweet peppers, a peck of green beans. Then I went to fix two stands, carried the bow with me. Heard some noise and checked out the back line. Farmer harvested beans and . Immediately drilled in grains and I assume clover. They had quite the crew out there.let them fill of not their bellies with feild drops and I'll try to find a doe going to swamp and bed tomorrow morning.. tomorrow's my last early chance. Tonight...I have work to do and lots of it.
Thank you. Hoping the deer cooperate saw some on my way in. But the spot I'm in they usually come right after dark hoping to catch one off gaurd. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
All set up for my inaugural saddle sit. Tucked into a group of ash and oak trees. Didn't see much for acorns on the ground. Brand new spot for me overlooking a large crp field. 3.5 hours to go. Time to get comfortable! Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
