He is 10. He started at 28# but we put another 1/4 turn in so I would say maybe 30#. Maybe he will be hunting next year if he can prove himself to me but I'm in no hurry for that. We are working on patience, concentration and form right now.
Sorry to leave you guys hanging. I’m down. They never came back out. I was quiet because I expected them to come out at any minute and walk that road they had been in to the gate leading to a picked corn field. I left my phone in my pocket after the last post about them getting up. I know the one buck I saw was a good 10. The one that was with him looked like a big 8. They never did spook. The wind had shifted back to in my favor before they got up. I’ll be back in there tomorrow.
I did see one other small buck feeding along the field edge. Too bad a big one didn’t do that because I had a 30 yard shot.
Might be a good time to get aggressive maybe? They're not going to be buddied up too much longer and are going to get more territorial. Not sure how aggressive you could safely get without burning the spot up though.
I don’t know how aggressive I could get in this spot. I’m sitting on a small road that goes to a gate into a corn field. This place is THICK and I’m sitting in the only place that has an opening to shoot.
Right about a third of the way down and in the middle of this pic is where the bucks were bedded. You can see why I wasn’t worried about them spotting me.
Such a great feeling the night before opener. I’ve never hunted an opening archery morning before, tomorrow that changes and I’ll be in a tree in roughly 8 hours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Early November has never been good to me, so I'm out. I always pull for Joe, hell, what heathen doesn't? I can't even guess. I'd probably say you, especially if you start griping around Halloween. Sent from my SM-G781V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Congrats on the redemption doe @vermontwhitetail! @LittleChief-I assume Trump wasn’t one of the bucks you saw?
