Good luck guys . I'm back in and just having my first cup of coffee. No deer but...you could guess... Turkey. A big hen with some young poults 7 of them so that's good.
It's hard to compete with the ag. fields . The chicken farmer just isn't bringing in those beans and the rains help to delay it as well. The beef farm now has fresh young regrowth on his hay field
Add tons of clover and pure alfalfa with late planted soybeans within a 5 mile radius.. I'll be in good shape when the chest nuts start popping. The hazelnuts won't b e ready until then. The hickories have been hit hard..

Lol I must be tired , I fell asleep typing that, pretty bad I bored myself unconscious...hahahaha...

Ohio season starts the 25th, maybe that's what you meant. I saw you were from PA, just hate for you to make your trip a week early.
what part of Ohio you hunting?

I’m out! I’m all done with morning hunts till late October. Might go out tomorrow afternoon and scout my way in to find what I’m looking for. Good luck to anyone else who is still out

Yeah, put a damper on my hunting plans. So, making about 100-120 pounds of kraut on Saturday and then off to the U.P. to check out my area and get a cam setup.

No deer. Made circles around the last blood, grid searched, followed the only trail down hill , the direction the blood was going And no more blood, No deer. Not happy.

So far I only have 1 target buck that was showing up on camera at my spot all summer until 3 weeks ago and now he's showing up on my Dad's. He's 150" plus but I don't have pictures out of velvet yet. My dad was heading out this morning so I'm sure I will see pictures later this weekend. These pictures were from end of July.

Yes, you are correct. Yea, it's low 80's this weekend. We have a farm in Belmont and Monroe Counties. South East.

VT, so sorry to hear that. I would have bet my paycheck on the picture of that arrow that you would have found a dead deer.

Licking my wounds. Be in a different stand this PM, quite a bit of Doe and Buck activity on that camera between 1830 and 1930.

Back up and tied in. Camera says lots of 6:30-7:30 activity here and a little early action. Probably going to stay off the phone. They come in from all directions here.
