That first one kind of looks like a wolf. Snout is long and ears don't look quite coyote enough. Second Pic I have no clue.

    Good looking deer tho.

First year I’ve ever got pictures of them. Not too happy about it.

I bet. I have seen one on some private land here in MO. The land owner confirmed it, but game department denied its existence. That was probably 20 years ago, but that day is etched in memory. I was 30 yards from it and could only see its gigantic head and top of its back while it closed the distance. Not a good feeling.

For the wolf, it definitely has the look on the first one. Boxy head, hard to tell how tall it is without context. I have a wolf hybrid and it has a similar look. Lanky, and boxy head

Got my bow dialed in tonight. Absolute darts at 40. I'm ready. Wednesday is an east wind which plays to my plan to sit over a water hole. I don't expect any action really, bit ill be there on the ground nonetheless.

I took it down to the wire here myself! Tomorrow is opening day. I'll spend some time today sharpening heads and hopefully it doesn't pour rain tomorrow evening. Been dry as a popcorn fart here and now it is supposed to rain of course.

Wife told me yesterday that she thinks she finally gets why I have to put in so much time hunting. Ok...
Then she says "we need to fill the freezer, so go get em"
    Who is this woman?

For those who don't look at the live from the stand thread, Finny (Latoneout) shot a buck this morning. Low hit, blood petered out, getting a tracking dog.

Just got back from Colorado and ready to focus on white tails in 3 weeks.

Before you ask, Colorado was less than awesome….90 degree heat and hundreds of muzzleloader hunters…. No bugling going on.

Clothes are drying in the sun, bow is ready and I'm thinking of a morning set up. Non intrusive on the ground over a water hole. Supposed to be a perfect wind for it and hopefully it isn't pouring rain. Tomorrow has been a long time coming!
