Been getting pretty chilly at night - and as of recent days have been cooler (high 60 low 70s) - but next week is back in the high 70s low 80s.

    Very abnormal for us.

As for logo - yours look great. I just threw a couple together and it kind of got overlooked. I think the cardboard one is funny.

I think mine has three sticks...maybe four. For sure not two. But my newest stand is in poison ivy. Guess who has poison ivy all over and never had it before?! Go figure.

Do you have something in between? Looks like spaced far apart or just me? XOP sticks are nice. My buddy did have one break on him while he was climbing though. He was descending luckily and it was the bottom step. Part that is the stop for the step broke right in two.

59 here this morning here in OH.

    Good luck out there Slugger!

Brandon I'll take that image for my avatar. You might have to walk me through it.

Heading down to TN for a couple days with the wife. Not looking forward to the drive. My hip has been killing me lately.

Sounds familiar Kristen, I get it just looking at it. I try to cut the vines on my tree stand trees to keep it under control but I was super lazy this year and didn't do any prep work until recently. I hope it settles down for you. Definitely not much fun.

    Thanks.

Was a gorgeous morning. Guess the deer did not get the memo to swing by my stand.

Sell me on this saddle stuff. I can appreciate the flexibility it gives you which would be great for me but for some reason I've been holding back.

I did the same until last year. I mainly did it because of my back issues. As much as i run and gun, i just needed to shed as much weight as i could. There were days i would get home from hunting and i was in so much pain that i just wanted to give it all up. Which wouldnt have happened but it was bad. So i bucked up and tried it out. It takes some getting used to for sure. If i wasnt in pain i would still use stands. If you can hang and leave like on private i would still use stands. But i do like the tension from the lanyard as opposed to the free/unattached feeling you get in a stand with harness. Is it better than stand hunting. I would say no. Its just different. For me it works better. Its light and one less thing to carry. It can be comfortable but no way is it millenium comfortable. It’s definitely worth trying but you have to try for more than one hunt. It takes a bunch of hunts to get used to setting it up. How to adjust your tether and bridge. How to size up the tree so you know how many sticks and how to space them to get where you need to be. Etc. give it a try. Its expensive but you can find them used

Thanks for the detailed response Brandon. Typically I hunt from one of the many fixed position stands on my lease. That being said I always end up setting one of my lone wolfs to close in on them to try and close the deal. I think a saddle would work great for quick set up like that.
How expensive is the total package of good quality stuff?

Yes for quick in and out setups you cant beat them.
I think i paid around $600 for the whole tethrd phantom setup. You can do it cheaper than that though. That is for the saddle, lineman rope, tether, a couple accessories, and ropeman upgrades. They are a climbing tool that takes the place of a prussick knot.

I’m still alive! My allergies started jacking with me a few days ago (damn ragweed)! I haven’t felt like doing crap ever since I took that trailer down to some public land spot. I’m feeling much better now and I’m thinking I’ll go put out some blinds this week sometime. I’m gonna go scout behind the house in the morning and maybe put a camera out. Normally this spot I’m talking about is really good for when they are on lockdown mode in the rut if I get the right winds. I haven’t hunted it in a few years so I’m not sure how good it is. We’ll see!
