    I'm up for opening day of MD!

    So glad I left extra 30 minutes. I needed it. Took long to setup. I'm sitting between bedding and crop field hoping to catch them on the way back. Back on my cursed piece of public that I have yet to take a deer. Think I missed 3 times last year. Did find a fresh scrape that was hit last night on the way in.

    Suns up and the critters are moving. No deer yet, but did have a nice sized black animal walk past in the dark, look like might have been a racoon.

    Just had 3 deer walk right up to 10 yards. I took a shot at the lead doe and shot right thru her back straps above the spine. This sucks! Going keep hunting for a few hours and then see if I can track her.

    About 95 percent I hit her right across the back. Opening day jitters and I didn't settle in for the shot. I just snapped shot, so stupid

    I’m up in the twenties only deer to offer a shot has been scrub bucks. Had a decent 120ish 8, but no shot.

    Pretty sure she just circled me. She was pacing back or forth looking up in my direction trying figure out what just happen. Only came to 30 yards this time and way to thick to confirm it was her. But my guess that it was.

    Giving it till 8 to go check the arrow, pretty sure he’s dead but he took off towards dad so I’m giving him some time and Hoping we can double up!!
