According to FedEx tracking it finally left Chino, CA this morning. If it isn’t somewhere a lot closer by tomorrow I’m going to cancel the order and get a refund. The seller gave me that option.

Hey team, I thought I would give you all an update. I had an appointment with a surgeon at the VA Hospital in St. Louis this morning at 8:30. As it turns out I don’t have an epigastric hernia. It’s just something that happens to older folk sometimes - weakened muscles between the abdominal muscles, so no surgery required there. Maybe drink a few less beers and do some sit-ups or climb a lot more trees. I do have a small umbilical hernia but the surgeon said there was no danger in delaying the procedure to repair that until after the season, so I have that surgery scheduled for 22 February. So, in a nutshell I’m good to go for the season. I won’t be able to get back to Kentucky until later. The season opens here in Missouri a week from yesterday so I’m getting ready for that.
