Those are some hammers! We actually stay in Lamoni Iowa when we hunt the Missouri lease. Literally drive down the Missouri/Iowa fence line, open the gate and turn into Missouri. When I killed my deer last year I could see Iowa.

Thanks! The one I shot with bow was my first Halloween buck! He went right around 148”. Very long times and had an awesome split g2. The shotgun buck has so much mass. Shot him at 7 yards haha. I’m lucky to have friends with good hunting properties. I wish I could contribute a lot more this year and hopefully I can still get it done late season. Never killed a buck that late tho.

Checking in. My name is Joey. I am from southeastern Ohio but have been living in southeastern Kansas for the last six years. Unfortunately, I am kind of in limbo at the moment. I am in the process of moving to Alabama, so my quality of hunting is about to go way down. Won't matter for this team but I should be able to go back to Kansas next year and hunt on some of the properties I've been hunting over the years. My parents have 100 acres in Ohio but I'm the only one who hunts it so I will be going in blind to hunt it this thanksgiving. It was timbered this summer so it is going to hunt completely different and I have no idea what to expect. Hopefully I can find somewhere decent to hunt in Alabama. The last four years have been really good to me. Looking forward to getting to know you guys! Here are some videos of the deer I've taken over the last four years.

I killed mine in my profile picture last year on halloween as well! Must have been a good day all around. 7 yards with a shotgun had to have been a rush.

It it was intense. Shot him from the ground. Will never forget it. Halloween was a good day it seems. He was the only deer I saw that day from the stand. There were 2 deer I was in there after and luckily he was one of them!

This was taken right under the stand 5 days before I met up with him. 1st sit going for him. If I remember correctly his g2s were 12” and G3’s were just shy of 11”. If I don’t get the chance at another good one for a few years I’ll be just fine! Wife is tired of my wall art haha.

Man he’s a lot like my 2018 buck. Had 12 inch 2’s and 3’s. When I first got him on trail cam. I about fell over.

Welcome Joey! Are you going to get to hunt Kansas at all this year? I’ll have to check the videos out when I get home this evening.

Not able to get my Kansas lifetime because you have to intend to stay in order to be a le to get it. The same goes for getting an annual so I am no go for Kansas this year.

I am actually heading to Kansas next Thursday. It will be my first time ever going not in November. My buddy closes next Friday on the land in St. John. We are going to hang some stands and cameras

I’ll be up there next weekend as well. We’ve got some public spots marked. Going to go check them out.

You guys are gonna drive me nuts with updates! I hope each one of you guys have some great encounters. I’ll live through you guys for the first 2 months!

Next year I got some hunting plans. I have a cousin in Kentucky who has invited me down to try and shoot a velvet buck. That would be awesome. This might wait till 2023 tho because of the Colorado rifle elk hunt I am planning with my buddy. Normally take the bow but he wants to take the rifles out. I’m going to try and snag a bear tag as well. I really hope I can pull both trips off. Would make for a pretty epic year!

Kentucky velvet buck is at the top of my list. Maybe one of these days! I love going to the Rockies to chase elk. I’m leaving here on the 16th. I’ll be there for 10 days. Hopefully I can get another with my bow.

Ya I want to shoot an elk with my bow real bad but I’m clueless and haven’t made it happen in the last 3 trips out there. My buddy wanted to rifle hunt next year so I’m giving that a shot.

I don’t blame you. It would be fun with a rifle as well. Have you guys ever got into them? Or not at all. I’ve only had one trip where I wasn’t even close. The others I either killed or messed it up lol

1 year never saw a single elk. The other 2 I got within 100 yards or so. But not very many. I’m going to a new area all together next year.

That's to bad. My Oklahoma lifetime is the best thing I could have ever gotten. Watched all of your videos, they've got me pumped for Kansas! I'm guessing you know Travis? He was on my team a few years ago.
