When it comes to picking days off work, what are the days you most look forward to for all day movement. Year to year is a little different depending on weather but I think most everyone has a day they focus on the most. Curious how this board would average out on one of the best days to pick ahead of time.

I have always in my mind loved Nov. 11th and usually centered that in my vacation. But in the last 3-4 year have shifted that day to be last. I have come to enjoy the early days of November (4-11th) the best.

What is your go to dates when picking days off?

New moon, as close to the peak rut as possible.

anytime in the beginning of November is great.
I personally just got my vacation approved for oct, 18th- 22nd. Beginning of bear season in South Carolina so definitely going to be putting the time in to try to get a bear down this year.

I'll add to that before or at the tail end of any storm front and late morning hopefully.

My birthday is Nov. 10th so that time is always good for me to be in the woods. Anytime from Oct. 26th - Nov. 10th is good for me

I like November. Ha. But to me, noting beats a last week October cold front.

There is something about the last week of October that is my favorite time… I usually split the last week of October and the first week of November

I concur. The rut is phenomenal but i love the week leading up to Halloween. Not to mention if you hunt alot of public like i do, October will give you more solitude. Seems like every tom, ****, and harry put in for the first week of november.

I’ve had the best luck nov 3rd over the years. 4 bucks on that date so far, from Halloween till 2nd week of November I try to not work and hunt as much as possible.

Last week of October here is bananas and probably my favorite time of year. But hard to argue with that first couple weeks in November either. Hell. I love all of it.

As others have said, the last week of October is always busy on my cameras. However, I usually take the first full week of November off. I will be in the woods from Oct. 30-Nov. 8, with a bonus day on Nov. 11.

Out here in Idaho the peak whitetail rut is usually somewhere between Nov 18th to the 25th. I'd choose the 22nd as a day to not miss.

September elk I like taking the 3rd week off. I really like all days between the 12th and the 25th. I'd choose the 18th as a day to not miss.
