Eh, I'm short on pieces and effs. Just tired of the politics and division. You know, that Ole chestnut.

All to well but then again I was never that much into the WWE either or soap operas.

Had the craving for some BBQ but not the patience to cook it at home. Was going to go to favorite BBQ truck and figured I would check his facebook first. Posted end of July that he would be closed that weekend and through August. There went that plan. Have a Hickory River here but I swear they do not smoke their ribs and not real keen on their sauces.

Ended up trying a new place, to me, and put in a sizeable multi meal order to try it. Went with ribs and brisket that came with cornbread, then 3 sides, green beans, bbq baked beans and mac n cheese.

Sides were the star of the show, ribs seemed like they were probably boiled first, brisket seemed more like it may have been sirloin and both were so heavy on the smoke I could probably eat hickory river and enjoy it now  It's like the place never let the smoker start burning clean smoke before putting the meat on. Goes to show, just because you open a restaurant and it stays open doesn't mean you have good food. Damn shame

    The sides kicked ass though.

Once you start smoking your own meats and get even halfway decent at it, BBQ never seems to be as good when you eat out. It's almost ruined it for me.

I absolutely love the BBQ truck when it's there. Been trying to recreate his sauce for a year now

I otherwise agree though, but sometimes it's nice to have a place to pick up a quick meal rather than 3-15 hours prep and cook time.

The national do not call registry has got to be the biggest joke ever, every day I get calls from different numbers to add to the block list. thought maybe it expired so went on, nope Oct. 27th 2011.

Wish there was some way to go after the bot auto warranty calls as that is what 95% of them are. Pretty much if your not on my contacts and you don't leave a voicemail you get on the blocked number list.

    1) ask if he'll give you his sauce recipe... Worst he'll probably say is, no.
    2) when firing up the smoker, load it up and freeze it. I used to smoke up a few butts, shoulders or a couple turkeys (makes killer stock for jambalya). Pork would get chopped or sliced. Turkeys I'd breast... Back in the freezer when you get a hankering...

I've started answering them when I can (if I'm not on a call at work or doing something important) and my goal is to get them to hang up on me. I've had a few of them start swearing at me in the past. It's a fun game.

I did that once(not warranty), had the guy on the phone for 45 minutes. Finally at the end, I told him I had one more question before committing. He said, go ahead.

I asked, "Do you think if I was looking to purchase this, I probably would have called you instead?" He actually got mad and started saying how he knew my name and address etc., I was rolling

I don't answer anymore as I think it confirms to them that it's a valid number and they keep calling with the number spoofer. I guess letting it go to voicemail does the same thing as well.....

Ouch !! You win. Most expensive project that sky rocketed for me was $ 6000 for the dining room and living room over haul.

An actual listing in our town. 320 square foot “house”. $79,000. What an absolute joke.

Do you know how simple life would be living alone in that house?

    Was working on my tractor.
Lifted the hood and did not deploy the safety latch.
Damn stupid mistake that could have costed me my hand.
