    What you all seeing.?

I stopped a bit ago at a local small town c_store to get grub for tonight.
1lb of 80/20% burger was 4.00$, small can of bushes baked beans,2.25$ and a can of green beans,1.39$.
I opened the can of green beans and it was at least 1/2 water
I try to eat somewhat healthy and have a big red bell pepper to throw in but 4$ a lb for 80/20 is nuts!

what do you all see in your neck of the woods?

It's gotten very bad. For one thing I've all but stopped buying any sausage. 4.00 a # is outrageous to me. Speciality sausage over 5.00 a #. Prices are bad enough but what tweaks me to no end is the down sizing of amounts on everything!

I try to shop locally when I can and well it comes at a premium I appreciate having a local grocery store considering the alternative is a half hour away.

Bacon might be stock the freezer with it after the New Year. California effed themselves and will be paying $20 a ponnd while other locales might be paying closer to $2 a pound. Goes for all pork really.

Liberal idiots never know what they vote for until they see the impacts of it....

We haven't seen anything yet with meat prices...wait till later this fall. I'm actually gonna shoot any legal deer this fall. I think I'm gonna chase meat rather than antlers.

It's gonna take a good sized bear and at least 2 deer for my yearly supply of meat.

Grocery bills are insane. My family of 5 is usually around $250/wk… lately its been over $300. And thats with the wife trying to skimp. Inflation is a *****. I told everyone they would pay for those stimulus checks.

I normally only eat venison… last year I was held to one deer due to the fall so I’ve had to buy it. I won’t buy from the supermarket… local farmers are my supply for chicken, beef, turkey, fruit and veggies.

I am used to paying more than supermarket prices … but farmers prices have gone up as well… this country is a big $h!t show….

Kids are lucky there is a huge diary operation behind their house, the diary farm milks 3 times they go 24 7. Between each milking they bobcat out all the left over feed, they fill gravity boxes that go to the daughters farm they have 100 head of angus and they are not worried about hay in a dry year the feed is enough mixed with less hay.

This thread has me weighing my garden produce.
Today all I picked were jalapenos, red and speckled lettuce, zucchini, and cucumbers. That was a $20.00 haul according to local prices.

I planted a bunch of cabbage because I made my own sauerkraut. Wouldn't you know I was just given 10 heads of cabbage, so( Kathy )( Krauthammer ) kraut making starts tomorrow. That will be a nice head start.

Groceries have not been terrible for our family. It helps that Arkansas has a strong farming community. We have gone from about $175 per week to around $200. The local killer has been gas prices. In December, regular was $1.69/gallon now it is $3.09. Elections have consequences and you get what pay for with your votes.
