This is a photo of a 12 yr old block....my dad still has it and it stop arrows perfectly. In the last three years I've gone through three block targets.i guess they don't make them like they used to. Two were normal one was a crossbow version. Looking for opinions on a good broadhead target that doesn't fail after a year. I shoot 30 ish arrows about 4 times a week , 1 fixed blade then 4 field points. Sent from my LM-G710VM using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
SEVR makes a great target (and great broadheads). Although, I haven had it a year. I mostly shoot field points at my Bulldog bag, but I shoot broadheads at the Sevr and pack it when I go hunting. I ordered a “blemished” target and they messed up my order, so the sent me a regular target. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEai4vFpjC-/?igshid=ujb7w95c94ue https://www.sevrbroadheads.com/?ref=80 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rhinehart Rino Block for BH/FP's ... for a pure BH target, look at the Blob BH targets, very solid and tough, lube arrows before shooting FP's for easier pulling ..
Matrix. Buy once, cry once. Got my M1 from Santa. Broadheads pull as easy as my old Vault, haven’t tried field points yet.
I have and had a bunch. The three below I still have. I listed the ones that think are worth buying, others I have had but I wouldn'trecommend them. ....going to pick up a sevR next time it's on sale as well, see how that does. Rhineharts 18/1 and Rhino block, good to very good durability, easy to pull arrows, inexpensive. Portable. Matrix, fair durability, if you couldn't switch the modules I would say poor durability. Arrows pull okay, the target is Heavy, and expensive. Worst value of the three Blob, was give to me by Elkguide several years ago and it has lots of life left in it. It super heavy, portable at all. Arrows are very hard to pull. Very cheap considering how long you will have it. Very very durable.
I've had this guy for two years, it works great. And if you shoot out all sides in a year they send you a new one. I still haven't shot 1 side out.
If your a DIY kind of person like me, I'm always trying to recycle materials. I had a customer give me a whole floor worth of those interlocking kids play mats. I stacked them up and made a 24" x 24" x 12" thick cube from them. Then just put a ratchet strap around it and keep it tight. I have been shooting it for 3 years and still going stong. If I start to shoot out a spot, just take it apart and rearrange some layers, then your back in business. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I've been shooting at Rinehart block-style targets for years, and have never been disappointed. The 18-1 and RhinoBlock targets are both great options for broadheads.
I have a 365 archery target with a rotatable cube and I am very happy with it for broadheads. http://365archery.com/target-system/
