Pretty sure it was BJE80 who I bet about Vikings/Packers... He lost and I never heard from him again. Hope nothing bad happened.
He didn’t show up last year until late November. I was tagged out on bucks in MO and if you’ll recall I tried to get you to come over and hunt my place since you already had a tag.
@LittleChief are you planning to hunt the KY opener (9/4, I think)? Figured I'd check since I missed you last year on my way west. My current plans have me driving to Quincy IL on 9/3... Then out to MT...
I’d sure like to, but the jury is still out on that. Since my brother moved to Arkansas I no longer have a place to stay in Kentucky so I’d have to tow my travel trailer. My daughter and son in law are using my travel trailer right now in Tennessee as a bedroom until they close on their house there and manage to move in. It’s looking like that might be mid to late September. I guess there is always a motel to stay in. I’ll have to decide at some point.
I used Tapatalk at first but then I couldn’t see anyone else’s pictures. Found the web browser is easier now as well
Long story short, I got skunked the 2016 season, didn’t see a single deer, despite putting many many hours in scouting and hunting. That’s just how it is where I hunt. 2017 season, I only saw one deer, on November 9. Around 9 AM a buck walked by at 15 yards. I stopped him and shot. As soon as I shot he started walking, I saw the arrow hit directly in the ham. I was sick to my stomach Knowing that I had screwed up the one opportunity in the past two seasons, and potentially causing the animal a slow painful death. Fortunately I hit the femoral artery and we found him about 60 yards away after I gave him a few hours.
That's actually a really cool story. Perseverance, luck, and incentive for he hunters like myself that even a horrible spot can result in a target down.

Haha i always said if Joe lived in the midwest he’d have his own TV show, hunting apparel line, and his face would be on the mineral block packages. Hard core as they come
