A “baker’s dozen” actually, but the biggest buck I’ve ever killed with any weapon was only 136” and my biggest bow buck was only 127”. I keep hoping to break into the 150” & up group but I won’t be holding my breath. There just aren’t that many of those where I hunt.
On another note I’ve been working my butt off trying to get used to the weight and feel of the new V3. I shot for about 15 minutes this morning and then shot this group on a 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 yard walk-back. My normal groups aren’t nearly this good so I figured it was time to quit while I was ahead. I did re-string and re-cable my bow, made a dozen new arrows. I stayed with Gold Tip and moved over to Kinetic Kaos. We’ll see how they hit. Pulled honey over the 4th. @Ridgerunner, we gotcha. Just need to get it in jars. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Reason I ask is a guy on TBI gets them by the truck load. Just wasn’t sure if you got it through him. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Finally have a pic worth sharing. Bought this 5 acres because it is kitty-corner to the other 15 acres that we own. The 15 is currently getting logged so I threw a camera up on the 5 and had a few does but this is the first buck. Really starting to get jacked up. September 18th (sorry all of you October folks!)
Got down to MD yesterday, sprayed for a kill plot, put 3 mineral sites out, hung a stand, prepped a saddle tree and pulled cards
Just came in from a decent practice session, 20-30 yards. I also sat in the saddle for 15 minutes just because.
Moved a camera over to one of my mineral sites that they have literally dug a hole at. Replacing the block tomorrow, but wow they are tearing it up. We are getting really cool temps so I'm hoping to see some early movement tonight. Thought I took a picture of the hole they dug up, but apparently not. Oh well.
