20 yr s, 20 yrs of caterpillar cycles, not quiet this bad. Not ONCE had they ever gone after the blue berry. Checked berries and they were near ready to start first pick 3 days ago. Went to pick yesterday and they were devastated. Now I have to spray and can't pick for at least a week. . There is nothing, nothing they haven't eaten. All 200 oaks are now completely bare. The maples are holding but they are now massed in huge clusters way up high going into cocoon stage. I can only pray the Bird enjoy the moths better.

Just read the NY ODN. It came a while ago. Deer management proposal 1. A 9 Day doe only gun season before our Oct 1 bow opener in just certain areas. Ours being one and units next to ours. 2. Florescent orange or pink required in all gun 3. Half hour before and after sunset in all seasons. Now many will disagree but I am really puzzled about2 of these. There goes another month of feeling unsafe on my own property. Also every year you hear me complain about the overrun bow season getting deer nocturnal by mid Oct. That's with bows now add to that a bunch of guys running around with guns. You don't even want my rant to go to " Nows my chance at a big velevet" poachers. Like they don't have a big enough problem they've been trying to suppress.
