Any pointers for shooting with glasses. I started shooting again and I am afraid to shoot with my glasses. I need them for both near and far. To this point I have been taking them off for targets. Just want to check with you guys.

    Thank you guys.

I wear glasses, I've never had an issue with the glasses getting caught in the string if that's what you mean. But they can fog up if its cold which is a pain. And in the summertime when its hot they slide off my nose due to sweat.

Funny thing, pushing my glasses up on my nose is now engrained into my shooting form. I do it subconsciously now, even if they haven't slid down my face haha. its weird.

Let me tell you a little story about glasses. A few seasons ago I was in my favorite stand. It was one of those cold frosty mornings in early November that we all live for. I looked about 75yds to my left to see a huge buck. He started back the way he came and I grunted at him. He stopped and started coming right to me. He was headed down a run that I had just ranged at 25yds the day before. He stepped into the lane and I drew back. The moment my hand got to my face, my glasses completely fogged. I couldn't see his vitals at all. I knew right where he was but in good conscience I couldn't release the arrow. He walked on down that run and out of my life forever. I don't know how to keep glasses from fogging in that situation but that's my take on it.

Bifocal contacts may be worth considering, ask your optometrist if that would be an option for you. I wear contacts because I dislike shooting with glasses. However, I will shoot with sunglasses on, but I specifically buy sunglasses that do not get in the way. I also do not need bifocals, so my idea may be worth what you paid for it.

If I could figure out how to consistently shoot with glasses on, I would still be shooting RH bows.
Alas, not a reliable option so I shoot lefty. And I will bet you 2:1 I shoot your nocks off.

If I win @dnoodles has to put a 4" lift kit on just his front axle of his truck.

Not that I would lose, but they don't make a 4 inch lift kit for Expeditions so unless you're suggesting I drop the cash for a live axle conversion which pretty much exceeds the value of the vehicle, we're going to have to think of something else.

How about you come hunt with me in Missouri and loser buys the others non-resident tag and a bottle of Templeton's?

We have an official forum bet! There needs to be a thread and a manager for this sort of thing. Where is Tiggie?

    awesome!
Gives me more motivation to shoot.

Okie and I will work out the details via PMs, and start a thread on it closer to the event.

I shoot compound and recurve with glasses and don't have any issues. A little anti fog treatment goes a long way when hunting.
