Mine should be great, looking at blossoms alone. Not so much thanks to weather. Between cold and rain we have a bee keeper that moved in a few years back.he lures and traps local wild hives when they split then once the hives mature he harvests and then move those hives to other areas keeping just one hive and his traps. My fruit production has really taken a hit since he moved in.
I have several young trees coming into first fruit this year, every single chestnut I planted last year made it .but won't fruit for another 2 years . Persimmon are all just breaking bud, looking good, hazel nuts were loaded with catkins. Deer hit blue berry hard this winter, lost two wild Apple's, but 3 came into production...a few black wild cherry are in blossom that weren't in the past. Peach trees and pear just loaded so I'll keep fingers crossed
    How are you guys fairing?

The only soft mast trees I have are the dolgo crabapple trees I planted 3 years ago... It will be a while before they start producing apples.

Looks like we have freezing or close to it at night a few times this coming week. 35 this morning. Highs low forties and fifties. This might be a killing frost in June type of year. Lost an entire garden that year...June 6th. Lol I can't remember Birthdays but that date I'll not forget!

NC looking good at early season but rains, becks this this week, were trending behind. I'm seeing a lot of browse already (berries, green briar, etc in the woods;in my garden - my peach trees, blueberries are loaded and fig trees added a lot of growth).

Early green up, and mild weather kept severe frost nip at bay.

Fall may be shaped by 2 key factors in my area :
    1) Last year was a heavy acorn year, generally, subsequent (this year) its light.
    2) rain fall through end of summer.

NC apparently had record deer harvest last fall, which could also make fall hunts interesting...likely local impacts that were overhunter like public land.
