Are bearded hens a rarity or something y'all see quite a bit? I've heard they aren't very common yet I've seen at least 3 here in the flick that frequents our farmland. Sent from my SM-S102DL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Quite common but sometimes hard to spot. Saw one alone in a field last week. Probably has a nest nearby.
Had a flock of 34 in the yard on Monday...lots of "courting, strutting, and display" going on with the Toms. The "girls" didn't seem all that interested...there were 6 or 7 bearded hens out of the group of 27 hens -- so fairly common, and similar to past years.
