Finding a few. One had a lot of skull attached and some chew marks from dog or coyote so not sure if he shed it or if it might have been a dead one that a dog dropped or what. Also found a nice one down with a broken kicker 20210315_121701.jpg 20210315_121716.jpg 20210315_122010.jpg 20210315_122022.jpg 20210316_104927.jpg 20210316_104953.jpg by the creek after I had just told a friend that I got skunked in that spot. Just shows to not give up until you are back at the truck...and then start looking for road sheds haha

I just got back from a walk.
Last fall while walking to a stand an arrow fell out of my quiver in a hay field. I figgered id try and retrace my steps.
While searching, I found a shed. Went to pick it up and there was my arrow about 5 feet away.
    Purty cool.

I got out for a few hours this afternoon. Didn't get the phone out to take ATL because it was pouring rain the whole time. I ended up picking up 2 old ones. I found 3 dead heads also. Was alot of sign of other people walking it. But still surprised I didn't find any fresh ones. 2 of the 3 dead heads were from this season. 20210318_183955.jpg

I seen so many great bucks last year ( mostly while on the road) that I really thought was gonna be an awesome year for shed hunting.
Mother nature threw in a "no snow winter" and the deer really never yarded up.
    Been slim pickings.

Went out for a quick walk yesterday and found an old one. Pretty chewed up. Good mass.

That's 7 for me in five short walks. All of them were on the 5 acre homestead piece with my bean plot. I believe the beans are the reason I'm finding them in such a small area.

The dogs had a good time also.

Found numbers 11&12 today a matched set that was 0.96 miles apart in a straight line. I marked them and measured them with my On X app. Feeling pretty luck to match them up.

Slightly over 35 miles according to OnX and 7 sheds on the year. Picked up a few at the new farm this weekend, video of that goes live at 4pm this afternoon.

    Anyone else getting out anymore?

It got into the 80s yesterday and wasn't that enjoyable walking in that. I will probably get out for a couple hours on Sunday morning then might be done shed hunting for the year.

I will post up my total numbers and pic of my pile from this year when I'm done!

I’m still trying to get after it but I’m greedy and can’t stop working, woods are Starting to green up a lil. I would really like to walk some Ohio spots but it’s not looking good.
