They are letting cuomo go down for the sexual assault because they won’t have to admit he was fired for killing a bunch of people. They get him out, that fire gets put out by the next “big issue” and everyone forgets...expect for the families. Just another slight of hand move.
Funny to me about these covid relief checks. Putting caps on the checks based on how much money a person makes. They do realize someone making 75k in NYC is substantially different than someone making that same amount in rural KY right? Or for couples making a higher salary...those people are the people with all the Bills to pay, and the ones putting in the most in taxes. But hey F them, they are privileged and we want to continue the redistribution of wealth in this country. Fair is fair. Everyone treated equally or nothing.
My question is if you did not lose your job during the pandemic why do you need a check? I am for helping those who lost their job, rent, bills, and food, etc. I am for helping those who lost their business to get back on their feet. 100% against random checks for those who did not lose their jobs.
I don't think stimulus checks are meant to help people get back on their feet. they are meant to stimulate the economy. give money to everyone and everyone will spend it...that's theory.. Maybe it all should go to those pipeline guys that lost their jobs...oh wait, they were told by Kerry to just go find another job...
Yeah, that's the issue there are people who actually need the money to get back on their feet, catch their mortgage up, or their rent. How does buying another flat-screen TV help? This stimulus like others is "vote for me" pay out.
That's government agency or workers, I don't think any politician could send anything to help their constituents

The ppl that actually need it aren't paying any bills either. Much like tax returns or upping the minimum wage, getting more money does no good if you suck a budgeting money. There is no way to tell who lost their job vs those that flat out don't work. If the gov is handing out money, I'd rather a tax paying worker get it than a "deadbeat". This is probably why the gov put a cap on who gets a check. Seems fair enough.
