Not getting to bed until just before midnight and waking up at 4am to catch a 6am charter flight to Vegas so your wife can go watch NASCAR, tomorrow. Back to bed now that we're checked in.

Las Vegas would probably be the last place I would go to watch a race.

You need a big rock.... I have a similar issue where somebody will run over my mailbox on about a monthly basis. It usually happens on a Friday/Saturday night around 1-3 am (probably has something to do with the fact that the bars close at 2am here). After the 4th or 5th time I went and dragged a heavy ass rock out of the woods with a tractor and put it right next to the mailbox post. The rock is only about 2-1/2 feet high because I didn’t want somebody to end up getting killed or seriously injured from hitting it which is way too small to completely stop a vehicle going 30 mph so it really does nothing to prevent people from hitting the mailbox. What it does a damn good job of is disabling vehicles. It pretty much guarantees that whoever hits it isn’t going to be able to just drive off and leave me holding the bill. It is still a little annoying that I’ve got to replace my mailbox on a monthly basis, but it’s a lot less so now that I am able to identify whoever hit it and make them pay for the new one (Even a cheap ****ty mailbox is still like $100 once you include the the post, address numbers, hardware, etc and at 10-12 mailboxes per year that $100 adds up real quick). The police department seems to be a pretty big fan of the rock too since they’ve gotten at least a dozen or so drunk driving arrests off of it.

Decided to be nice and take my wife's brand new Durango and fill it up and get a car wash yesterday, 87oct is 2.69, not too bad. Get in my rig today and it's on empty and I head over to the gas station and it's 3.09. Lucky me corn juice is only 2.39. Unlucky me, it's got the red bags on the handle, they're out. Fricking awesome.

If by corn juice you are referring to E-85 ethanol gas, then you were actually lucky that they had red bags on that pump. E-85 might have cost less per gallon, but it also has a lot less energy per gallon than gasoline. E-85 = 81,800 BTU/Gallon while E-10 = 111,836 BTU/Gallon (I assumed E-10 because most "regular" gas these days is actually E-10). Basically if you multiply the price for regular gas by .73 (since E-85 only has 73% as much energy per gallon as E-10 regular gas) it'll give you the break even point. IE $3.09 x 0.73 = $2.26. If the E-85 was less than $2.26/gallon you should've bought the E-85, but in your case they were charging $2.39/gallon for the E-85, so it would've actually cost you more per mile driven than the regular gas does.

To put it another way, if your tank had room to add 10 gallons of fuel then it would've cost you $23.90 to fill it all the way up with E-85 ethanol. If you bought regular gas (E-10) instead, you would only need to get 7.3 gallons in order to drive the same amount of distance as you could with 10 gallons of E-85, and 7.3 gallons of regular would only cost you $22.56.

If the regular at your station is actually true ethanol free gas or if the corn juice is actually E-100, then that makes the regular gas an even better deal than above.

    I was talking about E85.
They don't allow ethanol free here. Everything has at least 15%.

And thanks for the science lesson, I don't think I've ever seen it broken down quite so detailed, seriously. I knew I get less miles per gallon, especially on the highway. Hasn't realizedit was THAT much less.

Luckily this is not my daily driver and I get about 13 to the gallon in city driving either way. I might fill up with E85 maybe one out of every 10 fillups and even less so the past couple of years with regular gas being so cheap.

It's not like the 12 bucks is going to kill me, it's just irritating knowing that if I just took my car yesterday instead of the wife's I would have gotten it for said $12 cheaper.

Anybody out there know how to make browser extensions? I would really appreciate it if somebody would create a Meghan Murkle/Prince Harry blocker to complement the kardashian/jenner/Kanye west blocker.

    911..."I need police assistance, now!"

Then turnaround. "Now get out of my car."
