Just buy a dedicated arrow saw with at least 5K rpm, 8K is even better.

You're probably right, but cheapest I can find is $150. Maybe I'll buy used.

No down side to buying one used if you can find it. As long as the motor is good it's a no brainer. New blades cost about 10 bucks.
One case for new would be if you cam find someplace with free shipping, it may close the gap if you have to pay shipping on a used one.
I have 8K one that bought years ago when cabelas was still worth going to...think it was made by Apple. Its paid for itself 10 times over

Exactly my thought process. Having the equipment to handle all arrow related tech will be huge.

I made one out of a dremel it's not as precise and take a little longer to square your arrows but I only use it every one in awhile so it's fine. received_3145088188924890.jpeg

Do you secure the arrow and move the dremel, or secure the dremel and move the arrow in order to get it cut?

Secure the dremel.then I but the shaft to the block. You have to cut smaller chunks until you get close to final length but it work good enough

I made one like the dremel above but used a Diegrinder with a cut-off wheel...worked fine.

Micro Mark makes a small chop saw with two blade options. One a saw fine toothed blade, the other is a cut off wheel. Both will cut arrows. I put a wrap of masking tape on the arrows before cutting them. I mounted the saw on a board and marked the board in half inch increments from 26-31. Then pre drilled the board where I could put a long screw into the board. I put the arrow nocks into the screw.
