At one point I almost opened one here in OKC. Decided I'd rather stick to selling roofs rather than competing with Starbucks and Duncan Donuts. Decided a car wash was a safer bet and so far I'm not wrong. Two new Starbucks and a Duncan Donuts opened with a half mile of the location. I like Tim Hortons though, way better quality than either of the two aforementioned.
They're just playing into the hands of their new corporate subsidies master. Apparently capitalism with large corporations has been dead for awhile given the huge bailouts for mismanaged monies and piss poor leadership that no matter how crappy of a job they do they still get their multi million dollar bonus.
Fair enough but it's not a insult to me but maybe that's because my balls don't splash into the water when I sit yet.
