70 pound @ 28 inch takedown recurve bow.
My draw length is 23 inches. (-15 pounds)
Total arrow weight is 450 grains +/- 2 grains.
    Nothing on the string yet.
    Not a Fast Flite string.

How slow will my arrows be?
I know they won't be "fast", even for a recurve.

thanks. That's better than I thought it would be.

DL is pathetic because I'm deformed.
Arms are 4 and 7 inches less than "normal" for an adult my height. :(

Took me 62 years to find a compound bow I can use.

Even tho I lose 2.5 pounds an inch draw weight, I still want to try a conventional bow.
I bought a D&Q metal riser takedown recurve with a 70 pound draw to compensate for my short draw length.

I have my compound (Diamond Razor Edge) maxed out at 62.5 pounds, ("60 pound" limbs) according to the scale.
I'm thinking of updating/upgrading to a newer Diamond compound that goes to "70 pounds" (+/- 2.5 pounds?) at my DL, and work my way to being able to pull 70 pounds.

I me be off by some and that would likely be the top end of speed for you. Probably in reality it would be 155 fps. give or take

Keep your shots close, shoot a good solid small profile head and go hunting!
    Good luck sir.
