Right now I'm working on increasing draw weight. I'm currently on #30 slowly increasing to #40. The problem is that my 3pin sight is already at its lowest setting, with all pins pushed as far down as possible. Aiming with the highest of the three pins I'm consistently shooting 3" low. I'm already shooting off the shelf, no rest. Are there any multi pin sights for recurves? I can't think of anything else I could do. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated Sent from my SM-G930F using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
change your anchor point? In watching a lot of YouTube videos I see people using all kinds of draw styles and anchor points. Not sure if you do, but a lot of guys use 3 fingers under (none on top) and that brings the anchor point higher (sighting more along the arrow shaft.) By lowering the anchor point it brings your eyes and line of sight higher.
Read Fred Asbell's book on Instinctive Shooting. Recurves and longbows are designed to be canted and shot without sights. Stump shooting with Judo points is a great way to learn to shoot instinctively and you'll love it when you get the hang of it.
Are you shooting split finger or 3 Under. I was shooting 3 under and was always low. Was having trouble trying to change my anchor point as I just kept naturally going to my old anchor point. I ended up going back to split finger/instinctive. I recently got a Hoyt Satori ILF bow and may try 3 under again in the future.
