So I traded my Vertix in on a VXR 28 back December. I replaced my Zebra strings on the vertix before I ever shot it. With the VXR, I had to order and wait for the Barn Burner Strings to come in. So I have about 100 or shots through these Zebra strings and nothing has moved yet. Shop called today and said my new strings and cables are in and they will put them on whenever I am ready. Im in no hurry at this point, but will likely go up there in a week or so. But so far, these Zebra strings and cables seem like a decent set. What has been your experience with them? Does it take 200-300 shots before they settle? Are they junk like so many people say? I have always had custom strings and cables, and by that I mean winner's choice. But so far, there seems to be no stretch or peep rotation.

I had them on a Mathews reason 6.5 had no problems. No peep rotation or stretch. The string lasted 3 years before I replaced it. I shot a lot of arrows in those 3 years.

why do I hear so much bad/negative reports on Zebra Strings? Or is it hit and miss with each set?

a good string-cable set only needs 5-20 shots shots to settle it ... two good string builders are Catfish Customs and Twisted X ..... Zebra strings I consider 'second string' ...
