I'm up! Took a little longer to get here. I forgot my bibs at the house, so had to run home. No way I'm hunting with out them. I'm sitting the same area as 2 nights ago. Setup in a different tree this time, one with just a little more cover. Thing that sucks is I'm 20 feet high in a 6 inch tree with 20 plus mph winds. It is a low area near a creek, so winds aren't that bad, but I am getting a big gust once and awhile that takes me for a ride!

Dang just had 2 hunters come busting thru about 50 yards away. Lucky they didn't just wind this thicket that I'm hunting. I think I will be ok and it might help that they walked thru the area they did, keep the deer pushed this way. Looks like they are going a good ways past me, so I know the deer won't make it to them before dark.

When I got down I ended up having 3 hunters within 100 yards of me. One guy was 50 yards away and shot at a doe about 4:00 and missed. One of the other had a deer spook past him right at dark and he shot. He hit it and they were tracking it. They said they didn't need help, so I left. So I think that spot is officially done this year.

That sucks, is there a late season push there or something? Don't think I ever recall you having a post where other hunters were involved, at least so many on the same hunt.

Its just because of everything with covid. Have been slot more people on public this year. These guys are from PA. I believe there season is over, so they migrate to MD to get more late season hunting in. Usually I'm all alone the last couple weeks, but not this year.

Hahah, I get crap from Ohio residents when I run into them. I’ll be out Tom in Ohio, still have a buck and doe tag to fill!

I bailed on today 3-6” of snow, once this pushes through I’ll be out the following day, looking like Tuesday.

I’m up for the evening, got in a lil earlier. I’m between bedding and food, looking for a buck but a doe will do. Just iffy on shooting a doe I don’t want to gut and have a fetus. My buddy just had that happen to him last week.

Do a gutless: quarter it and carry it out. You probably won't see it that way.

    Good luck this evening!

Tomorrow is last day here in MD. I will probably take another half day and hunt the evening, just to finish off the season. Still looking for that one last doe!
