Haven’t updated in a while. Finished out the gun season in WI and my 10 year old just couldn’t quite seal the deal on his first buck, but he hunted hard and it was time well spent together. He had two opportunities, one a bullet seating malfunction on my .300 AAC Blackout so there was a click instead of a dead deer at 35 yards broadside and then another opportunity where he couldn’t quite get in position and the deer was on top of us and spooked a little at our movement. My nephew shot his biggest buck by far and his first deer in a few years and one I had on camera a lot so I was thrilled for him.

I’m letting the property rest a while after setting up a ground blind for late season. Still pretty warm around here in WI. Waiting for that first cold front and snowfall. Hoping to get out a handful of times to finish the season. Finished up my sons euro mount and it turned out pretty well.

Good luck the rest of the season boys! 4B61BEF7-7612-49DD-9B93-516E96293555.jpeg 254643EA-F887-42E4-B15F-4BCB2AEE4DE9.jpeg 54AE18F9-68C0-4AAA-A18A-A7C19458106C.jpeg

Hey guys. Been busy with hockey season. With both boys and I playing, coaching both their teams and helping coach on a 3rd team there isn't much play time. Ended up buying another John Deere 7000 planter. This one is a 4 row. Going to get it set up to do food plots down in the bottoms on our property in an effort to keep the deer a little closer. Good Luck to all that are still hunting!!

Headed for ohio Tuesday afternoon. I'll keep you updated as they happen. In other news I had a friend of mine score my buck and he had him at 126 and some change. Deer would have been 135 if he hadn't broken his time and beam. I don't think four points is going to push us on top so I'm not worried about it but I feel better because I thought for sure he was bigger than 122. I also scored my buck around 122 last year. He scored that one too and had it at 127 and some change. Moral of the story? I stink and measuring deer!

Been hunting at the in-laws a couple of times this week. Can't seem to get the deer within 50 yds. Plenty of deer just nothing close enough.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas!!
    Happy New Year!

Sorry fellas, haven't been very active on the thread! Hadn't been out since Gun season closed. Hope everyone had a good Christmas! Had some time this week, cold spell and a dusting of snow. Decided to hit the turnip plot this afternoon. Got it done today!! 8 point comes out about 2:30 gives me a 28 yard quartered away shot. Didn't go 30 yards! Not much of a rack but huge body old warrior( filled up the jet sled). Lots of meat for the freezer and some points for the team! 20201228_163354.jpeg 20201228_163925.jpeg 20201228_164041.jpeg

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years. 2020 was pretty crazy and it looks like 2021 might top it by the way its started. Figured I share with you guys a nice little hunt I had a few weeks ago. It has been an honor being your teammate!

Well guys, the season ended in MO yesterday. I was going to try and hunt but the 40-50mph winds and it snowing sideways changed my mind. I had a great year being part of this team. I did find out my #1 was shot by the neighbor. He did send me some pic's of the deer. He was definitely as large as I thought he was. Time to look for a new #1.
    Happy 2021!
