My next sit will hopefully be Christmas morning. Just happens to be the coldest of the season thus far. Definitely no worries about processor being closed and having to let it hang/lay for 24 hours. Had a dream last night I shot a mature buck late season, thinking it was me reflecting on the buck I seen 12/20 several years ago than it was a premonition.

    Thursday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 11. Northwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
    Christmas Day
Sunny, with a high near 27.

Love the dark face on that doe CanTex.

CLS, sounds like a good weather pattern.
Late season, cold n windy thick, low cover sounds like the ticket.

If anybody remembers the buck I shoulder shot in Mid November and bumped him for 2 days straight with an arrow in him. I pulled a card the other day and he was in front of my stand again at 1 am in the morning Dec. 5th. I’m sure he’ll stay nocturnal for the rest of the season but I’m happy the arrow isn’t sticking out and he’s alive. In that pic he was 600 yards from where i last bumped him so he’s getting around well not including he was coming from the East and I last saw him west so he has somehow got all the way to the other side of these mountains. Safe to say he’ll be alive next year so I’m happy but still feel a little bad

Glad to hear he didn’t go to waste on the neighbors property. Maybe he will give you another crack at it next year. Where was the hit? Would you mind sharing the picture?

Well, I think that's the reason he comes out. He knows that I'm there. As long as I've known, this guy has been this way. He can see when I'm there by where I park my vehicle. I'm going to plant a "wall" next year to help keep the deer from seeing him. The fence row is really grown up, however once the leaves all fall off you can see movement through it. There is a little more to the story that isn't worth typing. I'll just have to do better at hiding his place from the deer.

My season is over today. Once again NYS failed to initiate a program they proposed. I'm running behind on Xmas prep so no time for hunting . Perhaps next year I'll get a few extra days after xmas. Then I would hit camp.

Want to again send Congrats to all that were successful this season. Thank all that encouraged and congratulated me on my hunts. Wish all those lucky guys still hunting the best of luck and safe hunts.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

    To you all

We are on the ground where I was yesterday. All three kids on a skirmish line over 150yds. Hoping they come off the hill like yesterday. Good luck anyone who is out.

    I'm out in the stand.

With the exception of a couple hours tomorrow morning, I am done with work until Jan 4.

    Yeah baby!

Fri and Sat may be my best last chances at a buck. Season ends next weekend.

Sitting this morning with the rifle. Storm and my nephews baptism tomorrow... I got the side eye when I suggested hunting Christmas day...

My youngest son wanted to get a gun sighted in, so we did some target practice yesterday. Last day here is 1/1.

I know where that's from. :poke:
That clown is still in Iowa too.

Nope, I'm not doing that at all. I think he is just being that way.
