I am still after it pretty hard core. Saw a small buck this morning but this cold is kicking my butt and I bailed kind of early. Almost shot a doe last night, but she somehow avoided all my lanes very strategically. Unreal.

This shall not die such a slow death... What a great team this has been. If we can get that buck entered that is owed to us it will surely keep even more motivated.

I hunted to night... Saw a yearling and then rattled / frightened another younger doe in the general area. That was it. I figure I will rattle for another week or so and then resort to other tactics - but not much to lose at this point. I don't have a late season food plot to bask over - but with warmer than normal November I can imagine that a cold December could lead to heavy acorn browsing - in that case I know where to sit.

Look - I know where late season deer will move on one of my two properties. I am just not real high on the quality that might be left. A buck will walk out - I will have to make a decision to kill it or not. I've just tried to be disciplined this year - regardless I will take a doe before the end of the weekend.

Odds are low. Waking up and hunting in the morning is meh - especially after too much holiday cheer. But I am still and will continue to hunt through the end of the season.

Sorry I haven't been on here or contributing as of late but I had some health issues pop up and unfortunately I had to cancel my Kansas trip.

I'm hoping to get feeling better and get back out to contribute to the team.

Sorry everyone I wasn't able to get it done during the bow season. Hasn't been a good year all around for me.
Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Much Better New Year!

Sorry I've been out of touch. I 've been skunked. I'll try and get out in the late season. I need to get some meat in the freezer.

I should be back in stand this coming friday. Been a week or more since I was last in stand. Hoping to seal the deal on a late december buck.

I've got 2 tags left to fill. Should be a fun filled late season. Looking forward to those brutally cold late evening hunts. Those usually produce does everytime!!!!!

Not at the moment. Had to run to NC to take care of some family issues. I'll be back hunting next week tho, around Wednesday prolly.

Ending my season today boys. I understand some of you still have time and I really hope that you all get the deer you are after. Especially those of you yet to connect.

Doesn't look like it. I've been doing this a while and participation is what wins it. It was fun either way

Hunting has been pretty slow for me in North Central Kansas so far this week. Have seen a bunch of does but only one small 6 point. Hoping the action picks up today.

    My view for this morning.
