So my mathews I run a 26.5" module for draw length. they tend to run a 1/2" long. So when we put it on the draw board the DL actually read 27".. So am i actually shooting a 27" draw length in reality on this bow? Every other bow I have owned has been 27" mods. Sorry if it's dumb question but this is what I am thinking since mathews runs longer

don't you answer your own question here?

    • You are running 26.5 DL mods
    • On the draw board the actual measured DL is 27
    • You state that Mathews tend to run a half inch long

    what am I missing?

It does help to explain why both Mathews I have owned (well, one Mission and one Mathews) had such weak and squishy back walls. The DL was probably a squidge too long.

Very likely. I was told before I bought them that they ran .5" long 95% of the time...and they have for me.

Very few of these company's have draw lengths that are spot on. My Prime is 3/8 long. So yes, you're thinking correctly. I shoot a pure 29", but always opt for 28.5 draw lengths and fiddle with loop length to get it just right.

Mathews is notorious for being overly long. I am never surprised when i strap one to my draw board
