Crap! Just blew it! I had 4 does coming down this trail and we're going to pass by at 8 yards. The lead doe is the biggest one. She gets to 15 yards and looks straight up the tree at me. I'm not moving and ready with the bow. She doesn't like it and turns and takes the whole herd. Dang! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
That's a good sign though. At least they're moving. Hang in there! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Storm coming in this evening. I hope it gets the bucks up and moving. Good luck to you. Sorry for the rough days Bill.
I have a feeling that is all the deer that live in there. Probably won't see much now. That doe had one foot that was all white about 6 inches up her leg. I will be back to get her! Going to have to pick a tree with lots more cover next time. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
It really is amazing how those matriarch does can pick you off up there, despite them not smelling you, seeing you move, or hearing you. They just know when something isn't right! lol
The last 10 minutes has been none stop deer coming thru! Unreal sit! There all came back out and sounded like quite a few more. They all skirted just south of me about 50 yards. I completely have the wind, so didn't get busted by any. I will be back to this spot. All I can smell in here is deer. Plan to move 50 yards closer to bedding were all of them came thru. Well just had the 4 does come running under my stand. Only had about 4 minutes of light left. They were running full bore. So I know they weren't spooked bu me. I will be back! It's dark now and I'm out! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I had a nice 8 point buck tonight following a doe at 23 yds and shot right over top of it. Just found my arrow and it was a clean miss. I'm 2 for 2 on misses.one under, one over. Don't know what to say. Walked right under my stand. Waited for him to get out to around 20 yards. Turned to the right, I stopped him slightly quartering away, everything you could ask for and blew the shot. Took my time, took a breath, settled in right behind shoulder. If he ducked, it wasn't but a couple inches by the time the arrow flew over his back. Keep trying to figure out what went wrong. Be back out this weekend sometime. Dang man, that was close! Keep after them, it's going to happen! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
What a great sit! I can't believe how many deer are pushed up in there. We are in the rifle season right now, and the surrounding properties all rifle hunt. So all the deer are hiding out on this little piece of public. After those 4 does came blowing by I had what sounded like a buck walk up behind me to investigate. It got to dark to see him, but he was only about 20 yards from me. He slowly walked off, then got down and went the opposite direction all the deer went. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Out with my daughter for the last weekend of firearms for NY. I have the 7MMWSM and she has the 20gage. Nice morning a little warmer than I like but it might help keep her out a little longer. Good luck to those who are out. Sent from my Z719DL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
