I'm up in a tree again. Put in a lot of thinking about how this season has gone and what I can improve next year, because what I'm doing isn't working out. But I'm here anyway and still love the chase.

Its a beautiful evening though. 40, light wind. I have some hand warmers going but no foot warmers and I haven't had to turn on the heater vest.

Thanks Tony! It's been in the making for 3 years now. Just didn't put much effort in it. That may change alittle for next year.

I'm actually happy to NOT having my buck tag in my pocket.
Sitting in portables n metal ladderstands in Northern Minnesota can really suck this time of year. Aint 25 years old anymore.
If i a have a buck tag, I'm hunting..., and often freezing my ass off to where its not even fun anymore.
    I wanna have fun.
To all you fellas that have kept this thread hopping, a sincere Thanks,,
Never thought I'd get caught up in such stuff.
Several remind me of "me" 25 years ago (cept I usually seen deer).
What some of you go through is mind blowing and a tip of the hat for doing so.

Sometimes you can do most things right and still get your butt kicked. Keep at it.

Good luck! You aren't far from me. I'm west of Peoria. Had a pretty nice buck bedded with a doe 50 yds from my house yesterday afternoon

Makes sense. I’ve shot a recurve but I hear the longbow you have to hold a little different? My buddies dad is a traditional guy and has a bow he said I could try. Think I’ll tinker with it this spring

That's pretty cool. Didn't know the 45-70 shot with luminoks......... That thing blew through him. What broadhead is that, Chief?
