He uses it as a club once he empties it. That's why it's called Thumper. Sent from my SM-G965U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
DAMNIT! The neighbor decided to take a "walk" up his fence line. The deer all saw him and spooked! $^%$#@!! Sent from my SM-G965U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

I ended up seeing six deer. Five total does came out of the woods out of range and ran out into the field. Jist before last light I saw a deer running across the field around 400 yards away. I grabbed the rattle bag out of my pack and rattled as loud as I could. I watched it stop, so I hit my grunt tube a few times and here he came at a run. By the time he got to me, though, it was after shooting light and I couldn’t see what he was even with binoculars. Oh well. It was fun anyway.
Little motivation. Just checked the 2018 and 2019 deer contest entries. From Nov 20th to the end of the contest in both years there were 9 racked bucks taken. Let's keep at it!
Short hunt this morning. Rain/Snow moving in from the west. Hopefully they're moving around ahead of this crap. Supposed to hang around through Wednesday morning. Kicked a few deer out on my way to the stand yesterday morning and have notice where most of them appear. Looked around and found a place to put a stand for an "east" type of wind. NE would be the best but any E will do. We have ESE this morning so we shall see if sightings go up now. I wasn't really aware how much they used this area. It's a funny little piece of our property that I hadn't figured out yet. They aren't Mountain Goats so they try to avoid this one little small steep place on the corner of our property. By doing this they slip up to the flat and then back down the less aggressive portion towards the bedding area. It's a frosty 32 degrees here. Good Luck, everyone!! Come on @virginiashadow, let's do this!!!
Good luck everyone. I'll have my kids out for mid day or afternoon hunts the next three days. They will all have a crossbow in hand. Im not bringing a bow. I cant shoot another Buck till January 1 here anyway. Hopefully they can spill some blood. Looking for Calebs first deer ever!
Just got set up. Only hunted this tree once and shot a doe. Looking for a big boy today. There have been a few back here. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
