I sure hope I don’t regret taking my bow instead of rifle this morning lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
At my MI public area, my records would say 80% of my buck kills are before 8:30. At home on private it is the opposite.
With me I'm the complete opposite. All my biggest bucks were shot in the first 30 minutes. Don't think I've ever shot one after 8:00am. I have seen them after 10, but never shot them. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Years back when my wife was pregnant with our first child, we were at camp. One of her brothers and I were the only ones to get out at normal time. This was the second day of the season. My wife made everyone else breakfast and then went to her stand a short way from camp. She was in her stand less than 15 minutes and shot a 130" 8pt. This was just after 830.
Back in that walk up the hill is long and I could see the front coming in. Snowing pretty good then switching to rain. Camp behind me was empty..so all that shooting yesterday got them bucks...they are big buck hunters. I found a leaf with blood on it between my 2 stands on the way out. No other blood. So something ran somewhere from the guys around me. Lots of shots from out of state camp above me. We'll see what this afternoon looks like.
With all my hunting neighbors then I just counted up 5 actual hunting camps on my borders. .... getting a deer any deer should be a trophy for me...lol
That's only the second time I've ever heard that phrase used. Back in the day, my dad used to say "it's colder than a well diggers ass". lol
got him he’s not big but first buck I’ve killed with my bow in 2 years can hold out for something bigger now with 2 buck tags left he didn’t make it 70 yards Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
