My dad shot his biggest buck after over sleeping once. Didn't get out to the stand until like 9am, probably kicked a rock the whole way knowing him. Lol

Well I hope the deer don't mind my sardines in mustard farts, this tin may have gotten a little warmer then it should have, better follow it up with some pickled herring... you know, balance it out.

Until this year, in 30 years of hunting I'd never shot a buck before 0830. And only one before 0930.
Unless I am hanging a stand in the AM I don't even go out until light is breaking.

You are young and have a lot of seasons ahead. I steered away from hunting and the outdoors for about 10 yrs of my life. One of the dumbest things I ever did.
Better late than never! I’ve had some really good hunts when I didn’t get to my stand on time

All the bucks I’ve ever shot have been past 9:30 too, until Monday I shot that buck at 7:29 but obviously he didn’t die.

I shot an 18" wide 8 after sleeping in the Friday after Thanksgiving. I was in my teens. Woke up .5 hours after light....915 I hear a shot somewhat nearby. A few minutes later I watch him work 150 yards, in mature woods, towards me. Dropped him with 00 Buck.
