Holy hell...shot at 7:30 in trunk now. If you ask me how.... I honestly don't know!!!!

Thought I had posted that, just got home, pain meds, coffee and lunch...then I have to get him hung up. BTW Getting out of the car was a trip! Stiffened right up and not ashamed to say...my butt muscles and calves are screaming at me! I dragged him 1 yrd at a time, backing up the hill.
No time to see your posts yet so here is a general
    THANK YOU!
Sincerly thanks for all the well wishes...ps I haven't even looked at my post from this morning. I was typing on phone with rubber gloves on...I bet they are word jumbles...lol

Back in a tree, bumped 6 does walking in. I was approx 50 yards from stand they ran down past stand 50 yards on the other side. Approx 100 yards away. Should of had ozonics on walking in

Snow has fallen off tree limbs it's warming up it's 33 now. I can see past ,40 yards now.

Enter the sandman. Got metallica playing in my head. I would listen to them and that song on my way into work when I worked the midnight shift

@SkylarPreston, sorry to hear. That truly sucks. Know that you did everything you could and move on.

Idaho has a hard rule about animal recovery. If a wounded animal crosses onto another property, we must try to contact the owner and get permission from them. If we can't get in contact with them or they tell us no, then we are to contact the F&G. An officer will come out, accompany us to retrieve the animal, and for the ones that said no they will go write a "waste of game" citation to the PROPERTY OWNER for not allowing the animal to be recovered without the help of F&G.

That is a great law, I wish every state would adopt it. I would have no problem letting someone retrieve a dead or wounded animal if permission was asked for. I do not own huntable land, but, I would grant permission when asked if I did.

I couldn't agree more. Something so simple and basic could save a lot of animals from going to waste.

No more action where I was, got warm and windy. So I moved to a creek bottom for the pm. Hoping the critters do the same.

If you still have permission to look on the land that you can, check again tomorrow. Maybe, it will be dead in the last bed, maybe it will move back on to land you have permission to hunt.
