Picked up a Hawk climbing stand, looking forward to doing some sitting on good trails & wallows this elk season rather than all run-n-gun that is too dependent on the elk being vocal and/or coming to calls.

 

You need a pulley setup. Makes things a lot easier. Put up sticks, attach pulley to tree, hoist stand up and tie off. Climb back up and secure.

been buying A LOT of fly fishing gear to get ready for the fall steelhead run - new reel, line, flies, waders. Still waiting on Kifaru to get some packs in stock.

 

Just ordered this from Lancaster Archery. I am tired of losing a lot of space in my jeep to transport my bow in a hard case. Hopefully, this works as well as it looks like it well and frees up packing space.

kifaru 44 mag came in the mail yesterday! purchased me archery tags, too.

 

Vortex Diamondback 4 x 12 scope for the .270, two boxes of ammo for same rifle, portable ozone machine for my hunting room and jeep, Dead Down Wind scent elimination products.

 

I was able to find a few boxes of .223 so i picked those up.

Bought the new silent connect system for my bow.. unfortunately the screws were missing from the package.. bummer...

 

Bought a Hunt Comfort Scout cushion and some Alice pack straps for my Lone Wolf Alpha 2. Sat on the stock seat pad all day this past Sunday and my legs were getting numb several times and my lower back was bothering me the following day. The stock seat cushion is a joke IMO.

 

Full set of First Lite camo for the tree stand, and decided to retire the old bow and try out the budget friendly Mission MXR this year.

 

got this in the mail today. (I know I know it’s pretty dang expensive for essentially a plastic bottle)

Decided to test it out in my bathroom where we keep my dogs Pee pad. Sprayed the pad, came back a few minutes later and the smell was gone and room smelled like normal.

 

pulled the trigger on a lightly used Tethrd Phantom, ropes and ropeman! guess i am going to be a saddle guy now.

 

I KNOW I KNOW. i hate to be that guy but if you truly can sit in just about any tree, it is going to change the way I can hunt the wind on different properties.
