Rutting activity has been non-existent on my farm. Hopefully this cold front helps!

A buddy shot a buck this morning. Another shot a doe yesterday and had 2 shooters running around when he was gutting it. I'm gonna take my new used bow out tonight and try and get it done.

They've definitely picked up since Tuesday. Seen lots of 2.5 and one 4.5 that i was planning on passing this year. It would've been tough to pass him and luckily the doe took him another way.

Just found out that I'll be working Saturday and Sunday this weekend. What a crock of BS! Right in the middle of the rut. My son saw this buck at 1pm, 1/2 mile from my house. received_640108836669162.jpg

Another deer down. Smoked her at 15 yards after she almost did a 360 on me. 2nd kill this year.[IMG]

Out in ohio. Had a good morning sit, 3 doe and two bucks. The one buck I would have liked to shoot didn’t offer a shot, I moved locations in the same area, great sign in here only prob the tree I wanted to get in had poison ivy vine all over it, high risk high reward!

Well, I just shot a buck ! Came in scent checking this thicket and worked a scrape. Shot em at 33 yds, 1/4ing away maybe a touch low. Gonna give em an hr and look at the arrow. I can see my nock flashing.

Found great blood for 250 yds then followed good blood for another 250 yds, doe and that buck got up and bumped out. Thinking one lung low and out the bottom of brisket, going back this am. With the amount of blood loss no way he made it, gave em 3 hrs before tracking too. Very surprised he made it that far, deer are tough as nails. Disappointed I didn’t make a better shot to end it sooner, keep y’all posted.

Saw a shooter and a basket yesterday. Sent my bow down and looked over and had a nice 10 at 25 yds. Didn't get my bow up in time. Rifle hunting my ground today and passed 2 little bucks.

I have a black gold ascent single pin sight. I really like it but my old eyes can't see the yardage tape. Planning to buy a three pin black gold sight for next season.
