Wind picked up here also. But finally saw the first deer of the day. Had a spike at bottom of ridge walk around me at 75 yards or so. Then a few minutes later a doe fawn walked same area, But at about 50 yards. Both heading straight for bedding. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
This guy was about 30 yards away before I even knew he was there. He was trying to sneak away but he didn't make it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wind completely died down after I settled on to the ground blind. My scent must have rolled down hill and the complete opposite direction. The old nanny doe came in and just blew me up for a good ten minutes before slipping back into the woods. Changed location and am now 28ft up on the other side of the farm. Pulled a card on my way over. Not looking good, not one shooter on the three week old card. So thats it on this whole no supplemental feeding, no food plot jive. As soon as the season is over the JD 7830 is making a trip up here to get some plow time.
Another small buck just came thru just like the other deer. This time a what looked like 2 1/2 old spike. He had 12-14" spikes, pretty crazy looking. So at this point if I was staying much longer, I would move to the exact spot all these deer are passing thru. But will just have to save it for another hunt. All these deer are staying low because of this wind. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
