I saw buzzards circling in the field so I gambled lol it was in the thickest patch of briars of course so it took 20 minutes just to get 6 feet through the briars. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
What a difference a few hours makes. This morning it was 16 degrees and the sw wind was at 3. Now its 44 and a se wind at 20. Oh and work sucks! Had to cover for someone yesterday and could not get out early. Yup. My number one was giving me the " ha ha **** you" look each of the 4 times he went past ONE cam. Try that again this afternoon. I dare ya!
Afternoon at gypsy blind...if they skirt the field edge they should see her if I call..hopefully before that and come in. Head slowly moving with breeze...I looked up to see movement and startled myself...LOL
Back at this afternoon, 6 does this morning. I moved about 100 yards to my east. Good thing the neighbor is ripping up with his side by side and now cutting a tree further west of my last stand. @SkylarPreston congrats on the doe. Glad you found her. @axtell343 good luck bro @picman how about some pics. ????Congrats!!!
I quit 2 hours ago, was going to put all my crap up and call it a year, grabbed some food, took a lap around town and now I’m back in a tree. I’m sitting on the outskirts of a thick cover area and food plot, hopefully they bring a buck in. I know the doe will hit this field this evening. If I don’t see anything by 4, I’m getting down and heading to the field line under a cedar. Wind will work for a ground shot.
My first live from the stand post of the year. My first sit of the year. Had a buck on a doe 30 yards into the woods next to my house on the way in.
All setup. Its damn quiet today. Mid 60s. Cold front pushes in the end of this coming week. Tired of the warm weather. Let's get it done this evening! Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Congrats to all the killers lately! I'm back on home turf and setting up. Windy today, overcast and smells like an arrow needs launching. Good luck erbody Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Land owner decided to cut firewood 50yds from me, he did not know i was there. So, down and moved to another stand. Just heard the tractor leave 300yds away, maybe I should have stayed. Oh well, I'm in a tree and thats always a good day.
I'm bored so thinking.. I'm seriously proud of this blind. Plans and build from my mind not on paper...hand cut each piece with a bow saw. . Not bad for and old gal...yep bragging..lol
Well, this has become a nightmare scenario. I went to look for her, and found sparse blood. I was slowly moving through where I saw her last, when I saw the spike that had been bugging her and figured he was with the body. I crept up to where he was. I could see her backside, and she wasn’t moving. I tried to get to where i could make a second shot if necessary when she stood up and ran into a neighbors yard. They have small kids, and are sensitive to animals. I chased it out of their yards and back into the woods. She can barely stand, and could only make it 70 yards before laying down. The last time I bumped her out of their yard she got up much quicker. saw her lay down again about 150 yards away in the woods. She will probably not get back up. I will go there in the morning. But I am mortified! My neighbor just texted me, he seems okay but I am sure his wife is pissed Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
